Tim was born in 1980. He is a versatile singer, musician and composer and plays the piano/keyboards and accordion among other instruments. He is also a member of Stalko, a folk band whose debut album Grandiloquence (co-written by Ellis) was named by the Sunday Times of Malta as the no.1 album release in Malta in 2012. Stalko went on to win the Best New Act and were nominated in the Best Album category at the 2013 Malta Music Awards. Tim also co-wrote what became Stalko's second album, titled A long wave goodbye, released in early 2016.
Tim joined Dù Theatre in 2005 as the group's musical director and has composed the music (and performed live) for most of Dù's productions since then.
